I might say, “Yes.”
Jan. 19, 1960: To accompany a March 1960 article about Miami Beach rezoning, The Times ran a series of photos of Florida beaches. “The gist of these pictures,” a caption read, “is the theory that there is always, night and day, something to do for everyone, for every taste and avocation, and for every shape and age.” This photo ran beside a picture of a crowded beach. “Some holidayers like to spend their days with a lot of people,” the page read.” But here, “others like open sand and sky, which also are available.” Photo: Sam Falk/The New York Times

These “like/share if..” posts disgust me. Most especially:
1. “Like if you think she’s beautiful.”
2. “Like for heaven, ignore for hell.”
These posts are the epitome of the instant-gratification, copy-and-paste generation: I hit ‘like’ therefore I have made a difference; done my good deed for the day; gee, I feel good about myself.
Well, don’t. Because that action was so weak and passive you should be ashamed of yourself for sinking to such a cowardly level. If any of you likers/sharers feel some form of genuine emotion toward the causes/actions you spinelessly herald then get the fuck off facebook and do something proactive.
I plan to go to them all!
